Tess Smith is a life-long resident of Lamar County. She is a 1987 graduate of Oak Grove High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She holds the following degrees: bachelor of science in education, a masters in counseling and a specialist in administration. She is also a National Board Certified Counselor. Since 1992, she have served the district as a teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal at three schools in two different communities.
