“One of the things that's attributed to Martin Luther King and all the people that came through the civil rights era and because of the work that they did, we now stand on their backs,” said Roderick Woullard, supervisor of District 4. “We should come out and commemorate what our ancestors did. We should appreciate it and we should pass the legacy on down to our kids that they should never forget.”

Rod was elected District 4 Supervisor in 2001 and is currently is the Vice President of the Board. In 2006, Rod Woullard, his wife, Deborah Woullard, and Calvin McDaniel opened The ADEPT School, a not for profit dropout recovery, vocational, and academic school for students who dropped out of a traditional school setting. Additionally, in 2008, as District 4 Supervisor, built a facility that houses The First Tee of The Pine Belt-a character development organization for youth ages 7 to 17.
