Biloxi Fire Department came in first place, raising over $900 for the Salvation Army. Biloxi Chief Joe Boney said, “We work for the community all year long. “Right now, we’re looking for building materials and monetary donations,” said Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney, who has worked on similar relief efforts in other parts of the country. “When we were up there a few weeks ago to donate a surplus Biloxi fire truck, we found that not only was the volunteer fire department totally wiped out, but four of their 25 volunteer firefighters lost everything they had. Boney joined the Bilox Fire Department in 1984 and worked his way up through the ranks, becoming one of the department's youngest battalion chiefs in 1993. He was named chief by Mayor A.J. Holloway in 2013.
