Among legislative posts, incumbent Chris Massey and challenger James David Eubanks have filed with the state Republican Party in Senate District 1. On the House side, incumbent Gene Alday and challenger Dan Eubanks have filed for the District 25 seat in western DeSoto County. |

James David Eubanks and his family have been residents of Desoto County for the past 14 years. Being a pastor and youth minister for students ranging from 6th grade to college has opened opportunities to serve the mid-south through church, healthcare systems, and mentoring programs for at risk youth since 1998. He is an active musician and a lover of film and photography.
James’s parents John and Ruth Eubanks, also reside in Desoto County. He is the second born of five children and enjoys spending time with his other brothers and sisters. James has been married for 24 years to the love of his life, Tarra. They have three boys, who love to spend time with family and going to the family farm.
In 1989, James graduated from Spartan College of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a degree in Aviation Maintenance and Quality Control. He has also studied psychology and philosophy at Northwest Community College and church structure and mission at Memphis Theological Seminary. As an avid reader, James has spent the last decade in personal study of American History, Mississippi History, and ConstitutionalHistory.
